The architecture of the library is defined by two
towers, two transcendental spaces.
These telescoping towers are the result of a
search for the convergence of diverse properties -traditionally
separated in conventional buildings - into a single architectural form.
The towers function as structure, provide
daylight, contribute to the indoor quality of climate and air, organize
circulation.
the heart of the sustainable strategy of the
design - energy use is nearly halved compared to conventional building.
The Library is designed to encourage users to
explore and discover the varied spaces of the library, to experience a
derive through a world of words and images.
The library gives form for the idea that freedom
comes from knowledge. It is a public space designed for the creation of
knowledge.
